Passage Tells Project

Passage Tells Project is a site-specific sound installation focusing on one passage in a city. The work is composed of recorded interviews and conversations with people living and working around the passage.

Passage Tells: Brixton is set in Reliance Arcade, one of Brixton's markets that retains the original character of the area. The audience is asked to wear headphones and engage with the physical environment through a storytelling experience, which uncovers the life and stories of what seems to be an ordinary corner of London.

Passage Tells: Edinburgh focuses on the Royal Mile in Old Town, where used to be the main high street of the residential area, now is the heart of tourism in Edinburgh. The audio intervention composed of local residents' interviews will illustrate another picture of the Old Town through the current people’s storytelling of their everyday life, and how they feel about the tourism that full of tourists come to their hometown.
